Schools and trusts
Tenders written by people who know what contractors look for.
Help for school business managers, trust finance leads and procurement teams buying cleaning, security and facilities services, from people who have spent decades on the contractor's side.
Five ways we help
What it looks like in practice.

Why it matters
Why the contractor's side matters.
- Most tender documents in circulation are copies of copies. They ask for things that make no difference to the service, and leave out the things that decide it.
- Thirty years of pricing and delivering cleaning, security and facilities contracts means we know what a good contractor needs to see to price accurately: the buildings, the hours, the frequencies, the response times and the standard actually expected.
- We also know what a weak bidder hides: thin supervision, hours that cannot cover the work, a pay rate that will not hold a team, and assumptions buried in the small print.
Independence and conflicts of interest
This is not small print
We take independence seriously. Before we start, we declare any interests. We never advise on a tender that a connected company is bidding for, and we never use or share any bidder's commercial information.
We recommend you record our involvement in your conflicts of interest register, as the Procurement Act 2023 expects.
Fixed fees, agreed up front.
Fair, fixed fees agreed up front, not a percentage of the contract value. You know what the work costs before anything starts, whatever the contract is worth.
Free tender health check
Start with a short, honest read.
Tell us where the tender has got to and your health check appears on screen straight away: three things we would look at first. No name or email needed to see it. If you want us to take a proper look, you can leave your details at the end.
